I tried astrophotography on my iPhone 16 Pro Max to shoot galaxies, nebulas, and star clusters — these were my best captures

Except for Samsung, the other two brands aren't available by the carriers in North America. Given this is a North American site its meaningless to bring this up without mentioning specific Samsung models.

I tried astrophotography on my iPhone 16 Pro Max to shoot galaxies, nebulas, and star clusters — these were my best captures

LOL. I love the poor attempt at engagement and reaction farming. To be fair though, this site hasn't seen such activity in this thread in a long time. Tom's used to be respected long ago, now its as credible as DT.

How to turn off automatic updates in Windows 11

Tom's is becoming a source of clickbait and misinformation. Disabling services will NOT, I repeat, will NOT disable Windows Update permanently. It will will restart again at a later time. There are some hack utilities that you can try that might extend the no update period, but that's about it.

News iOS 18: 9 biggest expected upgrades coming to your iPhone

This is utter rubbish! When will the media cease being sycophantic sophycants, mere script readers, and mere forwarders, and finally muster the courage to confront those in positions of authority? Year after year, we're fed the same narrative of 'biggest' and 'best', perpetuating a cycle akin...

I bought this $20 accessory to organize my gadgets — and it’s a game changer

Lol. Game changer, blazing, immersive, etc. I love all these clickbait words used to solicit engagement and background ads. What's Tom's website traffic like these days? I wouldn't be surprised if it's low given the few comments now in the forums.

I just tried the iPhone 15 Pro — and this is the most underrated upgrade

Lol. I tried the iPhone 15 Pro — and it's the most OVERRATED upgrade hyped by Tom's, Now, I’m not insinuating that Apple slipped a few bucks to Tom’s Guide for that glowing review. But it does make you wonder if they got their hands on that shiny new phone for free. Or perhaps it was another...

    The best free streaming services

Meh. None of the recommendations are good. Lots of OLD free content. Your best bet is to search Reddit and use an APK on your Android device. If you want to use a PC then Kodi is what you want to use. It's free although some "channels" require you to have a Real Debrib or Premiumize. You can...

News Google is killing passwords and replacing them with passkeys — what you need to know

I wouldn't necessarily say it's a bad idea. It's certainly not a good one. Most people these days use a password manager like 1Password, Bitwarden, or Roboform although many financial institutions don't want you too. And worst of all, banks aren't switching to pass keys anytime soon. Instead...

News Google is killing passwords and replacing them with passkeys — what you need to know

Tom's used to be credible and a good site. Now it's just hyperbole and clickbait. Whatever you use to safeguard your info and access to it, it's still a password. You can call it anything you want like pass keys but it's still a password which requires record keeping. Only biometrics can kill...

Google Pixel 7a launch — here's how it can be the budget phone of the year

I have to say, I'm getting increasingly frustrated with fanboyism camouflaging as blogging or unbiased information. I used the Pixel 7 Pro for about 3 weeks and then returned it. It was a big no for me. The reasons are quite obvious (in no particular order): 1. Wi-Fi calling issues (out of the...

Act fast! Google Pixel 7 just crashed $200 at Best Buy

I bought it and returned it. How Google is treating the cracked camera lens issue in cold climates and the poor quality (switches falling off) is unacceptable. I returned mine. It took Google more than a month after they received it (they couldn't find it) before they issue a refund. I also...
